Wat dat betekent voor backers van Kickstarter en Indiegogo (seedmoney en nieuwe projecten) moet uiteraard nog duidelijk worden.
Voor bestaande klanten die al machines hebben eigenlijk ook. Blijkbaar werken de machines die bij klanten staan alleen als ze ook zijn verbonden met de server van Alpha Dominche… om het nog niet eens te hebben over vervangende onderdelen of reparaties.

"Steampunk Recommendations
Steampunks need to be connected to the server to log into a user account and access recipes. At this point it is unclear how long the server will remain operational. In order to keep Steampunks running for as long as possible there are some steps we recommend:
Make sure your Username and Password are written down for your staff to access for as long as the server is available. We are no longer able to access this information or change usernames/passwords.
If you forget your username or password, we have created a generic account anyone can use to access the app and operate the machine:
Username: “Username”
Password: “Password”
When you log in you will also be able to see recipes that others have created while logged in. Please create your own new recipes for use on your machine. On the Steampunk Settings page you will need to enter the number of crucibles for your machine in the serial number section. Simply enter the number 1, 2, 3, or 4 (corresponding to the number of crucibles on your machine) in the serial number field, press Save (floppy disk), and then Force Stop the app. When the app relaunches the correct number of crucibles should be displayed on the main screen.
Do NOT log out of your account on the tablet. If the server is no longer operational you will not be able to log back in. If you’re unable to log in you will be unable to operate the machine."
