Het lijkt me een geweldig apparaat gezien de informatie op het web.

18bar druk? Als dat echt het geval is, wordt de koffie zo hard samengedrukt dat er geen water meer doorheen kan. 9bar druk is zeker niet het minimum, maar een gemiddelde waarbij espresso vaak goed is. Met hevelmachines kan je met 6 bar nog een prima espresso maken, en 10-11bar gaat ook nog wel, maar 18 bar is gewoon véél te veel. En waarschijnlijk nog onzin ook (max. druk geleverd door vibratiepompjes is vaak 18bar; die zitten ook in de grotere thuismachines).

Thermoblockjes zijn natuurlijk niet exclusief door Briel gebruikt, die zijn zeer gebruikelijk. En al die andere machines kunnen ook gewoon stomen. Instantly? Nee hoor, zal toch echt even moeten opwarmen.

echte, dus 'genuine', wordt juist niet geproduceerd door filters, maar komt gewoon uit de koffie zelf.

Op dat andere forum heb ik net ook al gereageerd, kijk uit jouw apparaat schijnt een 110/120Volt apparaat te zijn!

De rest, tja..marketing komt altijd met hele mooie kreten.

Ja, het klinkt wel als een verkooppraatje. Toch heb ik al op verschillende sites gelezen dat het om 18 bar gaat.

Volgens ConsumerGuide products:

The Briel MultiPro ES200APG-TB is a beautiful and highly efficient pump machine that produces cup after cup of intense-flavored espresso coffee with virtually no waiting. This unit is made from heavy-duty stainless steel that has been polished to a gleaming mirror finish. It stands just under 13 inches tall, 12.2 inches wide, and 15 inches deep -- although you will need a little extra room behind the unit to accommodate the power cord.

Standard equipment for the MultiPro includes the base unit, a removable 2-liter clear plastic water reservoir, two brass filter holders with sieves, built-in coffee tamper and measuring spoon.

The MultiPro's most impressive feature is the thermo block system, which uses two separate thermostats to regulate the espresso brewing and steaming/frothing processes. On units with a single thermostat, there is a wait time while the unit heats up to produce steam or cools down again to brew espresso. With the thermo block, you can literally switch back and forth between these functions with no waiting. A third safety thermostat also regulates the pump for continuous use.

One other feature on this unit deserves special mention. The patented Auto-Espresso-Flow function has an electronic timer that lets you simply turn and release the brew dial and watch as the espresso is automatically dispensed. A second dial lets you set the quantity, so whether you prefer a tall shot or short shot of espresso, the MultiPro can be set to deliver based on your specified preferences -- anywhere from just a few ounces to a full cup and a half.

The pump pressure delivered by the MultiPro is amazing. The unit delivers 18 BAR of pressure (substantially higher than the 9 BAR necessary for an authentic espresso). A manometer gauge on the front of the unit shows the amount of counter pressure made during operation. Additional features include a handy water-level indicator on the front and coffee tamper.

The unit's three dial controls turn the unit on, operate the brew and steam functions and also let you preset the brew quantity. As previously mentioned, the thermo block system is so efficient there is literally no wait time. The unit is ready for brewing in about 15 seconds after turning the power control to the "on" position. Separate power and ready lights let you know the unit is preheated and ready to brew. You can also dispense hot water for tea through the steam nozzle by using the brewing and steam switches simultaneously.

The patented Cremaster filters produce an excellent cup(s) of espresso using either ground espresso coffee or pre-packed espresso pods. We noticed an ample amount of the thick foamy layer of crema -- the hallmark of great espresso.

De tekst is slappe marketing, leken snappen daar toch niks van, dus is de missie wat dat betreft geslaagd.

Het is een termoblock machine, wat op zich niet slecht hoeft te zijn.
Het ESE pad gebeuren is wat 'ons' betreft ook niks.
De 'speciale' opschuimer ook niet.

Blijft over....??

Dan doen ze het al; meer dan 100 jaar in italie fout.Briel heeft de 18 bar geitroduceerd en dat is nu de standaard.Moet alles gaan verkopen denk ik en op zoek naar een Briel.

Ik zal geen gebruik maken van de opschuimer. Heb een aparte melkopschuimer.
Waarom zijn die ESET pads niks? Gemalen koffie kan ook.
Anyway, positief klinken jullie niet.

mijn tip;voor 85 euro koop je beter een senseo.

Tja, een ander type + het eerste kopje espresso...moet het misschien nog leren?
Vergelijken met een Senseo is wat overdreven lijkt me.

Ik kan me nu eenmaal geen duur apparaat veroorloven.
Wil gewoon weten of er iemand ervaring mee heeft.

Duur hoeft niet.Misschien beter even op dit forum orienteren en over een paar weken een beargumenteerde aankoop doen.Als ik jou was zou ik de koop terugdraaien en eerst wat onderzoek doen.Misschien is de machine in staat tot fatsoenlijke koffie maar misschien ook niet.
